Pianist, arranger, composer, educator and producer, Claudio recently took part in a pioneering action in Brazil, where he presented a preview of some works from his new show “Instants” at the Metaverse. It was the first time that a Brazilian musician performed in this format and it was the first action in Latin America to unite the brand activation of an mobile operator, in the Metaverse environment, with an immersive live experience, where the audience could interact with each other and also with the musician, through their avatars.


Claudio Dauelsberg has in his discography 7 CDs, 2 DVDs, and several singles. The CD “Bach”, was recorded with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, and awarded by the Norddeutscher Rundfunk. The CD “Além das Imagens” was nominated for the Premio Sharp Award. Claudio has two DVDs recorded with the “PianOrquestra – 10 Hands and 1 Piano,” a group he created, where he acts as musical director, arranger, and pianist, which was considered one of the “10 Best Concerts of the Year” by the newspaper O Globo, in addition to numerous awards (Itaú Rumos, Classical Next, among others).

Teacher at Unirio, in the area of piano performance, arrangement and improvisation. He has already worked for 4 years as a professor at UFRJ, where he contributed to the implementation of a course related to Improvisation and Popular Piano for musicians for  classical performers with expressive results.  He has also worked at UFMG. Master in Performance by UFRJ, developed his thesis :  “The Importance of Improvisation Practice in the Musical Education of the Performer”.  D. from Unirio, he edited Claudio Santoro’s Concerto n. 2 for piano and orchestra and its first audition, as well as analyzing the three movements and their historical context.


As an educator, Claudio has participated in major national and international festivals, giving lectures courses and workshops at the Festivals of Montreux (CH), Oslo Univesity (NO), Codarts Rotterdam (NE), London University (UK), Jazz Camp (DK), SARC (UK), National Music Akademie of Sofia (BU), Vestfold Jazz Festival (NO), Festival of Itajaí (PA), Festival Domingos Martins (ES), Festival of Guaramiranga (CE) and at the main Brazilian Universities: UFRJ, UFES, UFMG, UNB, UFRN, Brazilian Music Conservatory (CBM), 29th Winter Festival of Ouro Preto (UFMG), Workshop Festival – Science and Culture Forum (UFRJ), Brasília Music School (UMB), Espírito Santo (EMES), among others.


He participated as a lecturer at Classical Next (Vienna, 2014) and was a curator at Jazzahead (Bremen, 2013). He also participates in international events such as Womex and Midem. Claudio was artistic director and curator of the Rc4 Festival, pointing new directions in classical music and use of new technologies.
